On the same day, 10 Japanese organizations sent a letter to Senior General Than Shwe, urging him to hold a genuine dialogue with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. Read the letter in Burmese.
The letter follows on a similar one sent to Than Shwe on 4 June, signed by 87 MPs from the Japanese Parliamentary Group Supporting Democratization in Myanmar (Minshuka Giren) and others who supporting democratization in the country. Read the letter and the list of MPs.
